Aeros Spectrophotometer

Aeros Spectrophotometer:

Non-contact colour measurement

The Aeros® colour measurement device from HunterLab features built-in quality control software and calculates the average value across a large surface area to measure all inhomogeneous samples with uneven structures—noncontact, precise, and resource-efficient!

Your advantages at a glance

The perfect solution for laboratory & production

  • Non-contact measurement

The sensor detects the sample without contact and without having to measure through plastic or glass.

  • Large surface area

The rotating sample plate captures 177.25 cm2 of the sample in 35 measurements in 5 seconds.

  • Integrated QC software

The EasyMatch QC Essentials quality control software is integrated into the device and provides all the necessary colour indices and metrics.
Aeros
  • Intelligent height adjustment

The distance sensor automatically compensates for height differences in irregular samples.
  • Smart user interface

Your measurement results can be easily transferred to existing LIMS or SPC systems.
  • Easy to use and precise

Simple "one touch" measurement reduces training time, optimizes the workflow and increases your productivity.

Smart color measurement system for various industries

For inhomogeneous products, bulk goods and small parts, the Aeros® is the best choice for color measurement with maximum connectivity, integrated QC software and robust design. The Aeros® is used successfully in various industries, including for the following use cases:

Snack food, nuts, potato chips, confectionery

The Aeros’ large sample trays are ideal for snack foods such as flips, chips, and nuts, as well as cookies and fruit gummies.

Coffee samples

Colour measurement of coffee, coffee beans, coffee powder, and ground coffee according to HCCI, SCAA, L, a, b, and our own specifications.

Cereals, cornflakes, oat flakes

Accurate quality control of all coarse-grained foods—simple and precise with the Aeros colour measurement device.

CIE Lab Colour Measurement of Bulk Materials

Colour measurement of colored and translucent granules and pellets for quality assurance in the plastics and building materials industries.

Powders - Pharmaceutical industry, Food, chemical industry

Powder samples can be precisely measured with the Aeros in a small sample pan. CIE Lab values, whiteness or yellowness – all important indices are preset in the integrated software.

Building products, rock, lime, roofing materials

Fast spectral analysis of CIE Lab colour values and a wide range of other measurement data using the Aeros all-in-one color measurement system.

How the Aeros® spectrophotometer works

Thanks to its automatic height adjustment and the ability to measure and average 7 readings per second across a large surface area, the state-of-the-art Aeros® spectrophotometer allows you to precisely measure even large, irregularly shaped samples of any kind—such as chunky foods like baked goods, nuts, or pasta, as well as various raw materials and products from the plastics industry in granule form.

The Aeros® spectrophotometer from HunterLab simulates human colour perception in accordance with the CIE standard valence system in a matter of seconds— with absolute reliability, accuracy, and reproducibility.
